Technology, not makeup
Camouflage by Microskin™ is a science and dermatologist backed simulated second skin which unlike makeup isn’t cream or lotion based.
Application is key
In order to get the most from using Camouflage by Microskin™, it’s important to see a dermatologist or certified Microskin™ practitioner who can evaluate your skin colour and provide a colour match to suit your skin tone. There are thirty-five colours in our range, from pure ivory to ebony. These can be brought off the shelf, however, the best results can be achieved with a consultation where a personalised formula can be created specifically to match your skin tone.
Application
Camouflage by Microskin™ is applied to the skin in a liquid form. This can be done by either using a sponge technique for small areas or airbrushing for larger areas. Once applied, the product settles on the top layer of the skin - known as the corneum.
Evaporation and binding
After application, the liquid delivery agent evaporated very quickly, leaving behind a micro thin film known as Microskin™. At the same time, cellulosic and oil components partially enter the corneum layer. This binds the film to the skin’s surface. The result is Microskin™, a waterproof film on the skin's surface that behaves, looks and feels just like your natural skin.
A simulated second skin
Camouflage By Microskin™ stays on the skin for up to three days, creating a waterproof layer that doesn’t rub off. Microscopic vents in the Microskin™ film allows oxygen to pass through so that skin can breathe and perspire, while natural colour pigments available in a colour range of 35 skin tones provide long-lasting coverage.
Shedding phase
The Microskin™ film naturally breaks away as part of the shedding process of the skin cycle. If you’d like to remove Camouflage by Microskin™ early then it’s easy to do so using our Removing Serum.
